  • Yield: 1 sandwich 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small can of Spam (or singles pack)
  • 2 slices soft white, wheat, or potato bread
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp butter (or margarine)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 fresh tomato slices
  • 1 handful crunchy lettuce
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice Spam thinly.
  2. Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.

  4. Spread mayo on bread slices.
  5. Layer lettuce, tomato, and Spam on bread.
  6. Season with black pepper.
  7. Close sandwich and slice diagonally. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use a serrated knife for slicing tomatoes easily.
  • Try swapping mayo for spicy mustard or adding a fried egg.
