This one-pan carnivore bacon cheeseburger pie is the ultimate budget-friendly comfort food. Made with cheap meat perfect for a carnivore diet, it’s rich, cheesy, and incredibly satisfying—ideal for meal prep or a cozy family dinner.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef (90/10 preferred)

  • ½ cup chopped bacon

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 3 large eggs

  • ¼ cup heavy cream

  • 2 tablespoons sour cream

  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Cook Bacon: In an oven-safe skillet, fry the chopped bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside.

  • Brown Beef: In the same pan, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.

  • Mix Topping: In a bowl, whisk eggs, heavy cream, sour cream, and salt. Stir in half of the shredded cheese.

  • Assemble Pie: Return bacon to the beef mixture in the skillet. Spread evenly. Pour the topping over the meat and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

  • Bake: Place skillet in oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until center is set and top is golden.

  • Cool & Serve: Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • For stricter carnivores, omit sour cream and seasonings.

  • This dish improves in flavor after refrigerating overnight.

  • Can be made in muffin tins for individual servings.

  • Reheat slices in a toaster oven or skillet for best texture.
