On July 19, 2024, TerBlanche was found unresponsive in her Los Angeles home. Despite the arrival of paramedics, she was pronounced deceased at 11:10 a.m. An autopsy was conducted on July 22, but the official cause of death was not confirmed until January 29, 2025.
